8 Reviews of the Arizona

This was the first tent I ever owned and it was great.Loads of room in the sleep compartment, better if you opened it all up.Loads of space in the outer compartment, room to sit and store stuff, plenty of headroom.Only downside was the detachable ground sheet, always aware of the gap round the edge. One night had a visiting cat crept under the tent edge! Also there was always one pole we had trouble clipping into the end clip.Had to get rid of the tent eventually as kept leaking along top by the sleep area, despite spraying it with sealer.

Bought this tent second hand from a neighbour(was included in a job lot of stuff I bought off him.)

Once I had sorted all the poles out I found it easy to erect. We had a weeks camping in Lincolnshire booked so decided to give this tent a try.

Was pleasantly surprised as to how well the tent faired up in the good old British weather.

We slept 2 adults,3 kids and 2 dalmatians with comfort.

Only down side was we found it a bit draughty when the wind got up.Re arranging the wind breaks soon sorted that. All in all a good budget tent but they are discontinued now.Can still be bought second hand and I would recommend as a cheap getaway tent.

We bought this tent second hand off ebay. We used it about 4 times through out last year for long weekends.

The tent is big, although the inner tent/bedrooms take up two thirds of it, we opened up two bedrooms and put two double air beds down this comfortably slept 5 of us, with a spare room for storage.

The tent its self is wind and water tight and has stood up well in strong winds.

There are only a couple of faults I have with this tent

1- horrendous to erect in windy conditions. Needs 2 to erect easily.

2- the metal upright poles can bend slightly when building. You need to be careful when installing them.

3- the living area, although large, slopes so there is limited standing height.

We had some fun times in the tent last year but I am looking to upgrade now or next year.

All in all a great starter tent, very cheap to buy second hand. I would recommend.

This tent was great had for approx two years but upgraded to a caravan as hubby hates camping (he's a boring old scote). Have put up on own in about 30 mins but easily done with two people in about 20mins great tent been out in Torrential rain and high winds, it can sleep 8/9 kids if on roll mats with rooms panels open but only about 5 people if on air beds with rooms separated plus room for luggage. End rooms will only hold a single airbed each and middle room will hold a large double and a single would recommend for family camping

This is one of the easiest tents we have had. I can put it up on my own in less than 45 minutes including inner tent. The first time is tricky as you have grey and black which was ok then the steel poles had tape on which looked black but was grey once this was sorted easy peasy. We keep the bedrooms open purely for space as a 8 man tent will never fit 8 in but will take 6 with ease. Big living area and neat pockets and a line to have clothes. Had withstood the worst of the British weathers for 3 years now. Will be reluctant to get a new one but it is starting to show its age after about 16 camping trips in all weather but will give it another year.

This is our first and only tent so we can't really compare it to any other. We have camped in all weathers, torrential rain & high winds and found the tent to stand up to anything that could be thrown at it. You can stand in all areas, unless you are well over 6 foot tall. It has a large door/canopy that is perfect for cooking under in foul weather. The tent is a comfortable 4 berth so we wouldn't recommend it for any greater numbers than that.

This is our 3rd tent. We have moved up in size over the past few years as we needed more space. Although it is a larger tent than we previouly had I find it easier to erect although getting the last pole into the pin can be difficult(there must be a knack to it, can anyone let me know?). The sleeping areas are fine though the single rooms are a bit tight for space. It has a great living area ideal to sit in at night with a beer or 2. Have camped in all sorts of weather and the tent stood up to the worst of it. Very happy with it overall and would recommend it.

The manual from what I remember was a bit like please read in Swahili for a better understanding. I do like it though except for a couple of things the manual for reasons stated above, the fact you cannot put it up with 2 people very easily especially when one has had a glass of wine- ok 3 but after reading the manual I needed them!

I do wish that the 2 single rooms where a bit bigger but then the kids slept in those so actually I can't complain even though they might !

Very reasonable price and a great height so you can stand up with no problems, a great sitting room as such for entertaining or just stashing the booze in.

I think it would make a great starter tent as such if you have a biggish family as at that price if it does blow away in the wind or a zip breaks then its less than £100 lost and in my mind if it lasts a couple of years then thats a bargain. Mine has lasted over 3 now with no problems except for me losing the manual so I am well happy with it really .

One thing to bear in mind is that there are only 2 single and 1 double rooms all are not en suite (unless camped next to the showers- not advisable though)and the other 4 places are in the sitting room area communal style so if you have anyone who gets a bit claustrophobic let them sleep communally unless they have smelly feet then send them to the car ! Can't have them smelling out your lovely tent.

I rate this tent 8 out of 10, michelin star 3 and remember to have a glass or three of your tipple to help you put it up as then if the holiday is a wash out you will have some hysterical memories of putting the thing up and so relieved when you have, it won't even matter that you have put up the sleeping quarters back to front cos you the one sleeping in the car with the radio, reclining heated seats and a power source.

Happy camping folks !
